👋 Hi! I’m Alba, the teacher behind Cháchara.
I’m Spanish, but I grew up in Lisbon, so I feel at home on both sides of the Iberian Peninsula and that’s why I like to say I’m as Iberian as el jamón!
I’m a certified Spanish teacher and an accredited DELE examiner, with over five years of experience teaching languages online. I teach Spanish and European Portuguese to adults from all over the world.
I believe learning a language is about much more than memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules. It’s about connecting with people, discovering new cultures, and feeling confident expressing yourself.
My lessons combine structure with flexibility. We’ll use the language as much as possible, explore grammar through guided discovery, and work with materials and activities adapted to your goals, interests, and learning style.

Before teaching languages, I studied Media and worked for several years in cinema and television, which gave me the opportunity to travel all over Spain and meet many people. Still, I craved deeper and more meaningful human interaction and working closely with my students has been genuinely fulfilling ✨
