Planning to take the DELE in 2027? Here are the official exam dates, registration deadlines and levels available for each session.
Registration for the 2027 exams opens on 18 November 2026.
The DELE 2027 written exams take place on 12 February, 2 April, 21–22 May, 9 July, 10 September, 15 October and 12–13 November, depending on the level and exam type. Your speaking test may take place on the same day or on a different date around the written exam, depending on your examination centre.
Which date should you choose?
Don’t automatically choose the next available exam.
First ask yourself:
Do I already have the level, or do I still need to reach it?
If you already have the level, leave yourself enough time to learn the exam format, work on your weaker tasks and complete several full mock exams under realistic time limits.
If you still need to reach the level, you will need considerably more time. Preparing for the DELE exam and learning enough Spanish to reach B2 or C1 are two very different things.

Before you register
A few things worth checking:
- Make sure your level is offered on that date. Not every session includes every DELE level.
- Check the registration deadline, not just the exam date. You may need to register several weeks or months in advance.
- Look for an examination centre early, especially if you need a specific city or date. Not all centres offer all dates.
- Give yourself some buffer. If you are only just reaching the level, the next session may not necessarily be the best one.
